Area

	We are situated in between the Lot and Dordogne rivers. The Lot et Garonne is a gentle,fertile region with rivers and streams flowing through it,where the pleasures are as plentiful as the different types of scenery.The region is also famous for his castles and bastide towns with there characteristic architecture.
		Chateau de bonaguil

		During the summer months the region hosts a number of excellent musical events,both Jazz & Classical Art,Craft exhibitions,brocantes and wine festivals.Above all visitors enjoy the peace,lack of traffic and the pretty undulating scenery. There are about a dozen restaurants within a twenty minute drive with menus ranging from £6.50 to £35.00 (10€ -37€ ) for five courses including wine and coffee.
	Villeneuve/lot - "Pont Vieux"

	Lascaux There are many caves in the area. On the south bank of the Dordogne,an underground river and lake with extra-ordenary rock formations can be seen at Lacave. The gigantic chasm and caverns at Padirac are even more spectacular. The caves at Lascaux with the finest prehistoric paintings have been closed but the exceptional replica at LascauxII is well worth seeing. Further south, Pech-Merle's caverns have impressive rock formations.

Activities

		There is canoeing at several places along the Lot and Dordogne rivers , as well as sightseeing on pleasure boats.

	Local activities include golf (4 miles ) tennis ( 4 miles )walking biking and horse riding.Wine buffs can take a day to explore such prestigious appellations as St.Emilion,and Monbazillac or Visit the "Maison des Vins" in Bergerac where wine tastings are free. There are literally hundreds of vineyards to choose from. We are on the boundary of the Bordeaux wine region and within a 45 minutes drive from St Emilion . We can arrange tastings or you can stop where you see the sign : vent direct or degustation. There are also Cooperatives which sell very good quality wine .
